Evaluating the modern means of online socializing in the medical field: A study

Abstract
Aim and purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the social media interaction in the medical activity in the last decade. Materials and methods: we conducted a retrospective observational study between January and March 2021, inquiring 24 doctors using semi-structured interviews. Results: WhatsApp and Facebook social media platforms proved to be the most widely used among healthcare professionals. Conclusions: The use of social media platforms for professional information has advantages and disadvantages, being a relatively new mean of obtaining relevant healthcare advice.
